In Logic Pro X, If you have a track stack set up with a few instances of the same synth, is there a way to automate the filter cut off on all of them at once to the same degree? br
br
I have seen this can be done in other DAW’s but i’m not sure about Logic. Currently doing them all individually but it would be great if you could just write the automation into the bus track header instead, can this be done somehow?
Create an empty MIDI clip on the stack track master lane.br

Draw your automation.br
br
Enjoy! :)br
br
Technically, you do not need the empty MIDI clip. But if you want to move stuff around later on you will be thankful that you put it in there, since your automation will follow and your whole project won’t be messed up because of disconnected automation.br

Thanks for the reply, sadly this did not work for me, in the track stack header the only selectable automation is volume, pan and any audio or midi effects i have in the channel strip. In my case, only auto filter. This is the same throughout my track stacks. I can only automate items from the channel strip within the header lane.
PROBLEM SOLVED:br
br
Turns out you can remap the smart controls and with multiple parameters/variables on a single knob. I did this via the track stack header.br
br
I managed to map all he cut off’s in the stack (doesn’t even have to be the same AU, you could use any device/parameter). Also assigned the open and close points of the cutoff, all on a single knob. br
br
I then drew in the automation for everything in the stack header!br
br
Bingo!br
br
This video was helpful if you are confused with some of the options like i was, i had no idea it was something so easy and simple…br
