Long Robotic Vowel Bass as heard in "9 Drop by Dubba Jonny"

How would I go about getting a long robotic like vowel bass like the one used by Dubba Jonny in 9 drop at 0:58 and 1:05 and throughout the song? I messed with some of the cutoff filters but Id really like to know thanks guys!br
