Btw I am just starting. I want to buy either Ableton or Logic, i prefer Logic as I said and I already have a normal macbook not the pro one…would you guys buy logic and produce with a normal macbook or ableton and work With a better computer … It’s like 6gb ram , 1TB , windows 7 … still better than my normal macbook I think.

Welcome to the forums.
First off, what kind of music are you trying to produce/create?
Do you plan to DJ or play live as well?
These are some things to consider when trying to make a choice to which software you want to go with.
As for which program works best with your current computer, I belive they require close to the same specs. What is your computers processor speed?
Logic and Cubase are very good programs (I’ve actually started out on Cubase before moving over to Ableton) and look asthetically pleasing as well, however I personally feel that I get more accomplished in a quicker amount of time with Ableton then Cubase (which is similar to Logic). I then bring everything over into Cubase for my mixing and mastering as it has a better sound engine.
Hope this helps

Logic is demanding so 6-8gb of ram recommended.
If you run many plugins (vst,au) this drags cpu so more ram is essential.
I think logic has higher requirements than ableton. Logic can run in 32/64bit, and ableton 32 bit only(4gb) of ram max.
Requiremnets for logic.
Available disk space
9GB to install all applications and required content
Additional 38GB to install all optional content (large content packages can be installed on separate disk):
10GB for Jam Pack collections
16GB for sound effects
6GB for surround music beds
6GB for other optional content
1GB of RAM (2GB or more highly recommended) minimum
If running logic I would get mac pro or imac. The mac book pro laptop for portable option.I think the normal Macbook would do for Ableton.
You can buy like focusrite safire pro 24 audio interface that comes with Ableton lite.
Or maybe just try demo of Ableton to see if you like it.
You should get imac or mac pro and run both ableton and logic.
Mac has better stability than PC.
Not sure what macbook you have, but my last machine was the first gen macbook, (original core duo and 2 gb ram), and in my experience it was good enough as far as Ableton was concerned. Logic got a little bit sketchy with a high number of tracks and plugins, but I very rarely got above 70% cpu in Ableton.
