frankieshakes (12/12/2010)

phil johnston (11/12/2010)
Yeah for this one I’ve been trying as much as poss to show the actual process of how o make a choon… So while it’s not as neat and possibly a bit random in places I hope it gives a better idea of what’s actually going on. Sorry if I’ve said I’m going to do A and end up doing Z it’s just what’s catching my ear and needs to be worked on.
With previous tuts I’ve felt a bit under pressure just to get them out which sacrifices the quality… I’m extremely happy with the directions this ones going and think it gives a better more honest impression of what’s involved in making tunes. I’ve been trying to put out at least am hour a week of content which has been rough there… And I want the priority for this one to be a 100% finished project that could get signed as opposed to be a “this is how to kina make this style”. So I Know it’s a bit drawn out but hopefully it will all pay off.
I totally understand where you’re coming from. I have to say, PLEASE keep doing what you’re doing. I truly appreciate the work that has gone into this tutorial… and I’m sure I’m not alone when I say, “take your time!”… I’d rather it take longer and feel more “complete”.
Looking forward to the next part.
Definitely keep taking your time Phil, it really shows in the quality of the tutorial. This track came out awesome, and with a real vocal it could really smash it in a club.
djjeck (23/12/2010)
Hello
Sorry for my english, i’m french and i don’t “speak” english very well
I think a video is missing; in the mini build (video 28) ,and in the last version of the track, the mini buil is not the same: there is a vocal loop (with pitch up i think) in more
How can we do this effect on the vocal??
Do you think there will be a video in a few days??
thanks
This is true. There’s actually a video missing from the tutorial.
Although I can guess how the vocal effect is made - I would do it using a simple delay device, and gradually shorten the delay time, it would be nice if the video could be included.

Yes, there is a rise in pitch, but the simple delay device can be set up to do that. If you right-click the header of the device, the bottom 3 menu options can be used to decide how the device behaves when the delay time changes.
ah?? where is this option?? can you do a screnner from this please?? because i have ableton in french langage and i think this option is not in the same place than other langage
godd stuff but what’s disappointing is the resources files ! when part 3 or 4 arrived, part 1 resources disappeared (instead of being included in the package), and part 2 never made it in the resources section!
Can you please make the whole thing available ?!
I’m new to SA, but does Main Room House tutorial come with Ableton project files?
