i took a sample from tracey chapman-fast car and tried to make a remix of it sort of like tiesto’s remix of the carey brothers - ride but its so off even tho i warped it to 128 bpm i dont understand how to make it fit or can u? because the carey brothers - ride is a slow song yet it fits perfectly on tiestos version of a faster tempo… how can you do this?

is it playing in time to your metronome in ableton?
Not at all, i clicked on ‘warp 128bpm from here’ and it said the tempo was 128bpm yet it sounded the same tempo and it was completley off with my drums
you can quantize the sample and then move every transient on the right position to match the beat
