i am new @ making music on my computer,i do know my basic music theory. i love deep house,i just don’t know what to do after i make my beat. what other elemnts do i need. please help. i am using live 8
Have you watched the deep house videos in the tutorials section?
That’s indeed a good start.
Or if you like deep house that much, you should listen to a few tracks you especially like. Write down the elements that are used and that are important for the track.
Deep house often makes use of a laidback groove. So not harsh sounding bass synths. Sweet and swelling pads and synths can be good as well. And cool sounds from the Lounge Lizard or Moog 
Deep house = stabs.
The key to deep house is great stabs, well in my head anyway 
now i have been working in some deep stuff for a while. if u planning to do more techie deep stuff. use some techniques from the techno tutorial . for the drums and lots of reverbs and delays . layering loops and doing some surgical work will take u to make more dark and minimal side of deep house.
but if you want to do deep and jazzy stfuff u need to focus on more melodic bass and leads. also having some knowledge in chords progression will help u a lot.
the drums should be simple .but u should focus more in the instrumentation .

your sound is slightly defined by your techniques
