So I’ve been trying to remake a mashup of Choose Me II by Xilent and the studio acapella of Katy Perry’s ET. The problem is that Choose Me is in G sharp minor and ET is in Fminor. I was wondering if anyone know what he used to change the key of the vocals for the mashup below.
You can just pitch it in ableton.
Either move the track up +3 or vocals down -3
Defo set it to complex pro setting.
I tried adjusting the key by transposing it by semi tones in ableton except it sounds much different than it does in the mashup?
Could be the difference between repitch and complex.
Repitch works like a record as you speed it up the pitch goes up and the formant changes.
Alternativly if you have the vocals clean you could use something like melodyne to change the vocals.

Today i learned theres a big difference between Live’s complex and pro modes :P. For anyone else looking to transpose a vocal make sure to have warp mode set to pro so you can adjust the formants and envelope.
