Midi file i download opens automatically in garageband? How to stop?

When i download a midi file on macbook pro once its downloaded it opens in gargeband any one know how to change the settings to stop this?

If you ‘ctrl click’ on the file and select 'open with and chose the app you want to open the file with.

Hi Chris how do i change it so it doesn’t automatically open when it downloads? As soon as the midi file downloads it opens in garageband automatically, how do I stop this from happening and not open at all just download.
