Seeing as we’re all at the video making game nowadays, here is one I just knocked up.
It’s me controlling Sylenth with a MIDI guitar.
I’m no guitarist, so apologies for the ‘playing’ but just to demo the instrument/idea.
dude. you are the man. thank you for posting this.
i have been dying to get my hands on something like this. for $200 bucks.
looks like it can’t be beat…
i play guitar everyday. i can’t wait to start shredding with sylenth & dcam.
buying one right now…
Wow, glad to be of service!
Full review will be on T3.com later if you are interested, but in short, fun also as a realistic controller for Guitar Hero, Fun for MIDI control (specially if you can actually play).
The stand alone guitar mode will probably leave serious players wanting more, but great as an introduction, or a digital accessory for those that are multi-disciplined.

How did you plug it in? Midi? or does it have usb?
I’ve been playing for a long time. i can imagine that this is going to help my productions big time. my brother usually does a lot of the key/piano melodies… but now we will be able to both play at the same time.
booooo stop posting all these videos!!! well at least until my ear is better hahahahah really tempted to put on the headphones and take a listen.
@UnitedVision I was using it over USB, just plugged it in and fired Ableton up, ready to go.
It has a bonafide MIDI port right on it though too if that’s easier. Also can be played as a digital guitar on its own with loads of preset ‘guitar’ sounds/styles, acoustic, distored etc.
@jon I had an ear operation last year resulting in a ridiculous Mr Bump style head dressing for a week. I found headphones over the good ear and not the bad one worked fine.
Don’t take advice from me though obviously
hahaha thats cool
Thats cool. I was hoping I could just plug it in USB and be good 2 go.
Midi is cool, but USB is better. This is awesome. I already bought 1 for myself.
Should have it by the end of the week. Can’t wait to start playing with this thing.
ideas are already flowing through my brain.
awwww man its comes it tomorrow. i can’t wait.
Hope you like it, else I’m gonna feel responsible!

pretty sure i will. as long as I can record midi with it and control synths. im happy.
before I had to plug my electric guitar into the computer and record stuff as audio then I would have to slice it to midi or transpose it to midi in cubase, export it into ableton… it was a pain. i actually posted a thread like 2 months ago asking if anybody knew how I could go about doing this… the only thing anybody posted was like a 4k midi guitar. for 200 bucks after all the vids I have watched, it is exactly what I need to make some crazy riffs.
How is it working out for you then?

awww man. i really love this thing. it has opened up my horizons big time.
ever since I got it, I have been working on this new track. not like anything else I have really done before. its awesome because now my guitar skills can be put to better use.
controlling synths with a guitar is like a dream 2 me. doesnt get much better than that.
there is some latency between the guitar/strum/picking, but that is expected.
i think the coolest thing is being able to do double tap solos & string hammer on/offs.
thanks again for posting this thing, because it has become a main tool for me!
just a taste of what i’ve been doing with this thing…
you can hear the guitar after 4:00 minutes in this song…
New trance jam (1st Edit) by Andrew & Jeremiah
and you can hear the guitar in the hook for this sample…
This Ain’t Blues (unfinished sample) by Andrew & Jeremiah
special thanks to you bangthedj for putting me on to this thing cause it is opening up doors for me!
Sounds mega and glad you’re getting so much out of it. I only wish I could play the guitar too.
Coincidentally enough I had to send my review one back today, which was a bit of a bummer.
