Going to buy myself a midi keyboard soon but dont know exactly what to buy. Are there any good keyboards which arent too expensive that you could advise me about?
Im only starting off so i dont think it needs to be complex… dont think its necesarry.

dollars, pounds, euros?for less than a hundred dollars you can grab a lightly used (or even new if you can hunt down a shop that still has some)e-mu xboard 49.great controllers,i bought 2 back like 4 or 5 years ago(the 25 and the 49) both are just like the day i bought them(and i used to travel with my xb25 quite a bit, both have been steadily used the entire time)excellent, responsive keys.
I don’t think Ableton can use Aftertouch anyway. I’ve got an M-Audio Axiom 25 and when I first got it I tried and failed to set it up. I was disapointed until I realised you have to be a much better keyboard player than me to have any use for it.
Looks good. I like the Axiom, but I think the rotaries are a bit crap. I think if I was buying again I would get the Novation for the Automap software.
M-audio Oxygen 49 is the one i have can recommend it. Should be a bit cheaper now as they have brought out a new range which now has some assignable pads in there. I bought mine for £120 but i think Jon Fisher who posts on here said i could have got it a lot cheaper. As i said should be cheaper now they are pushing the new range. Its definetly one for a noob and easy to use.

I got the 49 a few months ago (the new one)… I found it for $95 brand new on ebay.
It works great.
Also works well if you are DJing with Ableton (im sure that most do)… but I have had 0 problems with the 49 since I bought it. I know it is kinda noobish, but thats all I need for now.
I’ve been having a good luck at your advised keyboards Thanks for the help. (Btw, around 100 pounds. But of course could increase slightly for much better quality)
I’m going to wait till I get home, make a list of the keyboards and compare them [=
