Missing warmth

I’m working on this latin house track at the moment, the thing is i have this nice guitar sample which i’ve tweeked into a funky stab, the only problem is that it’s very mid/hi range sounding and although i’ve taken a bit of the top which started to hurt the ears a bit, there doens’t seem to be any real warmth to it. I’ve added PSP Vintage warmer but I dont really think i know how to use it very well because i moved the drive to just under +4 and it only seemed to boost the gain.

Anyways, i want to add more depth and warmth to this guitar, any suggestions on how to achieve this? Either via Vintage warmer or by another method / plug in???

Thanks

Oh, i also flicked the little switch at the bottom of the vintage wamer from ‘single’ to ‘multi’ but to be honest i’m not really sure what that did lol.

you could try using an eq to sweep through the frequencies until you find the spot that gets it sounding warmer and give a slight boost.

very small amounts of overdrive or bit crush may work.

PSP Vintage Warmer and a Compressor

Thats my solution to everything…probably why I make coolty music!

:hehe:

What is ‘coolty music’?

Lol could you teach me how to use Vintage warmer to full effect??

Woops…I meant to say crappy.

I just mess with the knee, and the other big knob right next to it.

Sorry, not really looking at the plug in right now.

maybe a bit of chorus? and an eq boost
