I have found that adding a sub layer under a bass patch makes an effective bass for the general mix, However I’m quite fond of using like 8-10 different bass patches in the mix, quite often very different from each other in terms of wobbles or waves or just general ADSR settings. I’m wondering if layering a sub bass under each individual bass channel is killing my mixes or if my EQ settings are wrong? is this what you guys do when going for complex bass arrangements? layer a sub under each individual bass channel? would it be better to make one solid sub bass channel and the rest above the sub bass threshold?
Yeah you should only need one Sub Bass that plays all the notes or the main rhythmical notes in your bass part.br

all the others will sit on top.
