Mmm Mmm ... sweet dip!

Anyone know where the low mid sweet spot dip is when mastering? I think there is an area around 300Hz that if you dip the mastering EQ you are able to crank the track up higher because it cuts out some of the boominess!

Is this an exact frequency or does it change dependent on each individual track?

I’m starving… I thought this was gonna be a Thread about food! So disappointed! LOL

every track will be slightly different but if you set up a eq boosting and scan through the frequencies from 200-300 you should be able to find the spot and then its just a matter of turning the boost into a dip.

Thanks for the tip on the dip Mr Fisher! I’m gonna sweep until I hear a sound that makes me wanna vomit blood then dip like I’ve never dipped before!

I always thought it was around 400? (ish)

Its hard to describe the sound of the unwanted boominess, but it sounds like annoying stuff that makes my car rattle more when I crank up the volume! I found on my latest kick the boominess was around 138Hz, so I dipped the bitch! :stuck_out_tongue:

Its between 250-300hz, you can put a small cut here as its a very muddy area.

Can’t beat prawn crackers and sweet chilli dip that’s for sure!

i dunno about you guys but I usually have atleast 1-2 cans of catfood every morning.

mmmmmmm tuna feast.
