I been trying to synth up my own personal supersaw using sylenth. The only thing im finding is that the supersaws you get are all a bit old sounding or cheesy hard dance happy hardcore sounding. If you listen to todays trance the supersaws used seem alot smoother. Are the supersaws today just the same as they have always been but just with different FX or is there something that these pro’s are doing that we dont know about. I usually get a saw i like by layering alot of different supersaws accross a few octaves but id like to be able to do it on one synth just to see if its possible i know layering is massive in trance so are pretty much all modern supersaws just layered sounds?
yo man i downloaded the demo of Arturias Mininoog V, ran out unfortunately but the saw leads on that sounded awesome, with a lil bit of fx and beefing up they sound really raw and huge! you could try the mininoog V out, thought it was good and got some good sounds out of it
