Interesting read. By fluke it sounds like my make shift studio might not be that bad after all
Good read:)
I have read alot about this but havn’t really put it into practise yet. I currently have my speakers sitting on my desk on top of shoe boxes:P & the speakers are along the longest wall.
The dimensions of my room are roughly 7 meters length, 4 meters wide & 3 meters in height.
Would I benifit much by swapping my speakers & desk around so that i’m facing the short side of the wall & getting monitor stands so there not sitting on my desk? Also might get some of that room treatment spongey stuff but I’m really broke at the min.

Yes, you want the sound shooting down the longest wall, monitor stands you may benefit from. The ‘spongey stuff’ is not very good, for the same price you can build your own treatment that will be much more beneficial
