Mono or Stereo Plug Ins?

Hi there!

I have sold a few Midi Controllers and stuff and bought the Fabfilter Bundle instead.

For example Pro Q shows up as Stereo or Mono Version in my Plugin list. I know the difference between Mono and Stereo, but where is the advantage/disadvantage of using a stereo eq on a monotrack like the bassline?

Where is the advantage of a mono eq anyway?

not really any point on putting a stereo eq on a mono track.



although Pro Q can use mid and side techniques to control Frequencies on either the middle or wide parts of a sound but this would only work on stereo samples.

Using mono plugins on mono channels will save some cpu usage.
