Mp3 Artwork Mac

Ok recently downloaded tracks from beatport, TID and audiojelly have art work embedded in to the mp3 however the slightly older ones have nothing.

How can i embed the artwork into the mp3 ?

I know on Pc you can use Mediamonkey but i don’t know of any mac software that does the same job.

Please don’t say iTunes because it doesn’t work that way, Itunes downloads the artwork to another folder on your machine, so if i open my tracks on another machine the art work will be gone.

I know you said dont say iTunes mate but thats how I do it… I drag & drop my tune/mix into itunes, right click, and go to the art work bit and browse what I want and click ok. All I do after that to drag and drop it back out of iTune into the directory I want it to be in and done. I think its the dragging it back out part your may be missing mate… defo works for me and I have 2 systems, art work alway shows on both when done.

try updating your ID tags to the latest version as well

Oh and I’m a PC user so could just be a mac thing…

i’m sure it works like that but for me at least i’ve found that Itunes either Adds the wrong artwork or just never finds anything, i would also like to be able to embed my own choice of artwork so that i’m not stuck with some random crap that i don’t associated with that track.

also if a track has the wrong artwork how do i remove the artwork and replace with new art work.

I’m on a Mac too, and found that the artwork is added to the music track itself if you do this manually (right click, then go to Get Info, then just drag and drop your album cover over the space for album art. You’ll know it has been detected as the border turns a turquoise blue). I think you might be thinking of the option where you right click then choose ‘Get Album Artwork’. This is the option that downloads the artwork to a different folder.

This is also the way to change any incorrect album artwork. Hope that helps!

This is what I meant with regards to the get info and album art, you can add your own art work there, I do it for my podcast so the my own art shows up in itunes for who ever downloads it. Should work, just mind n drag the file back out.
