For example if i use a phrygian mode to come up with a melody. I would need to adjust my chords? Please give an example of this.
Not sure I could give an example with words, but if you are using a specific mode the chords should try and match the melody at that moment. Modes can shift from measure to measure and even beat to beat. The trick is making those transitions sensible and smooth so as to not confuse or attack the listener in a violent way.
