Hey there,



Iam looking your tuts allready for some time and looking on the forum to find some info about music theory.

I dj for 8 years now and finnaly I understand ableton live a bit now.But with producing iam really a n00b. But I’am very interesting if maybe you have some more info or tut where you can tell me ( us :wink: what is a main riff excactly and what does it do?and where must it be in a track?so in fact a list with the parts what you can use if you want in dance music, because i looked on google and couldnt find it really.

Hope you can help me out cause i dont know what it is i also dont know what to do…:Wow:

if you use the search filter and search for “lead programming” you will find all the stuff on main riffs.





generally a dance track has



Drums

Bass

Chords (stabs, pads, strings)

Lead (main Riff)

Spot FX (sound effects, effects sweeps etc.)
