Must have music apps

First of all sorry as I know there are already some topics on this but I couldn’t see them on the search function. But I have found an iTunes gift card :w00t: and I’m wondering what are the must have music apps? I only have an iPhone btw

Was looking a maschine and fruity loops does anyone have experience with these?

iMaschine is good, but I prefer Nanostudio.

How easy is it to transfer ideas from one of these apps to your DAW?

Is it even more complicated going Mac to PC?

And is it a case of it sounding grand through the App and then a load of wank when you play it through your big speakers?

Just wondering.

I’ve not looked at maschine to closely but that looks pretty good  it’s gonna take up a large chuck of my £15 voucher

You can export the project file easily to pc or mac, but you can only open that in the PC or mac version of nanostudio, you can export wav or midi. So you could recreate your track in your DAW, but I never have and I bet it would take a fair bit of work.

Tbh, I mostly just use it to mess about with, rather than as a tool to use with my DAW.
