Have just become my new favourite company. Just been on their site after clicking though a link to view the new Deep Frequency release.
I had no idea that they give you fully functioning versions of Kore Player and Kontakt Player for free with a whole bunch of free presets! Damn. They’re lovely and, yes, I’m likely to buy the Deep Frequency pack now too, so their marketing worked.
Go and check it out.
Reaktor 5.5 Beta is out & is going to be a free update if anyone has it.

Crazy program… Sometimes difficult to use - but when it goes right its unreal.
Has got a major overhaul to the GUI anyway
Native Instruments are just a fantastic company full stop and there products are always excellent!! I recently bought the behringer umx490 midi keyboard which comes with KORE, the full package and a gift voucher to buy more stuff well worth keeping in the NI loop!
Hey how do you like the behringer umx490 midi keyboard ?

Truth is I haven’t used it yet. I’m in the process of building my own studio so I want to get it all finished before I set all my new equipment up. I did get it out of the box to give it a little play with, all seems really good!
I’ve heard nothing but rave reviews about it actually the colour is wicked too hah.

You have alot of patients my friend as soon as anything gets delivered I am taering the box open like a child at xmas
Used to do that, until I found myself having to send a couple of things back & the packaging was not the best.
Now I open stuff like a Forensic Detective.
Dare I say… Even Gingerly

Believe me, i have wanted to do just that but with being off work at the moment and the studio not being finished, i want to keep everything in one place…boxed up until its all complete! lol believe me, i cannot wait to get started!
NI makes some amazing software, however, I’m not a big fan of their GUI’s for their instruments.

The new Reaktor GUI looks pretty cool do you think Howie?
I know its about what it sounds like at the end of the day… but I agree, their stuff can look a bit too functional.

Well, it almost seems like there are no fixed modulation routings and everything is a flexible modulation routing on much of their instruments. If you take their most popular synth (Massive), because of all of the flexible mod routing, it can get a bit confusing. I personally like to have a bit of both. But making it a bit easier on the eyes would be great. Hopefully, they do what they are doing in Reaktor and doing it in their other stuff.
Thanks!! Downloading it now.
So, I got the free player and then bought the Deep Freq patch pack. Awesome… just awesome. I can see myself using it a lot as it enables so many fast manipulations.
I’ve already used it extensively in a new track, where many of the different sounds are the same perc loop I made and then mashed up, mangled and glitched and chopped.
I’ve posted a thread about it
