i fiddled around with the audio settings in ableton and have now messed up the sound!!
the sound coming out of ableton is all stuttery and jumpin as if the cpu was full but its
not.
but if i play anything else on the speakers (not in ableton) they work fine.
any ideas what ive done???
Without looking at your screen it sounds like your buffer size.
In your preferences , go into ‘Audio’, change your ‘Output Buffer Size’. Sounds like you may have set it too high.
Correct me if i’m wrong however.

Maybe you had your buffer size too low? Have a play around in that area, that could be the possible cause of your issue. I’ve had a similar issue before and that’s where i resolved it. But who knows, you know technology, it can be a real bitch sometimes lol and it can be the last place you look
right. pissin me off now. been playin around for the last 30mins.
what is your in/out sample rate?
input buffer size?
output buffer size?
overall latency?
Might be something to do with your soundcard settings… mine has its own control panel outside of ableton and if the latency is to low it messes up ableton
right, ive done it

What was it in the end? The soundcard?
the balance between the input and output.
the input really low and output really high???
