Im gonna buy Traktor.
I wanna be able to play the 4 decks and i need an audio interface as well.
has anyone got any ideas whats the cheapest way to get all this…
im thinking Traktor pro and then buy another audio interface separately.(what would be a good interface to buy for this?)
obviously id like Traktor scratch pro but its a bit out of my price range for now.
you basically just need a interface with four ins and four outs if your gonna be using decks/cdjs as the control, check with the version your gonna buy as not all traktor versions support 4 decks

…yes traktor pro dosen’t support timecode, so if you want to use cdjs in the future you need to upgrade ( i think that’s possible)
The cheapest way… don’t buy anything and just mix internally in mono, one channel for monitoring, one for main out…but then you need a controller for the mixer as well, and of course the latency is going to suck…
You can improve on that with a 2x stereo out card that can work at low latency and do as above in stereo or use 4 decks with external mixer in ‘mono’, (it’s not a real mono tho as only one channel of stereo track is outputted and there is no summing)
I don’t know any cheap 8 out/in (4x stereo) interfaces, I’m using Audio 8, check this site tho [url=http://www.djtechtools.com/]http://www.djtechtools.com/[/url]
oh btw if you are or know someone who is in full time education than you can get quite good discount
