Cheers lads!

Very nice, very chilled aha! I really like the rolling bass and thing that the synths sit well. Some BT style fx wouldn’t go a miss though (would of loved to hear a bit of vinyl crackle on the last synth (@5:20ish) and a couple of slow down stutters here and there :Pbr
br
Keep it up my man

Thanks for the feedback man! br
br
BT fx? could you give some examples?

Here you go, in my eyes the most under rated producer in the EDM scene today:br

When I say BT effects, I mean all the lil edits and stutters he puts in. I could go on about this guy for hours but this song will explain it aha!

Have to say you’re getting better by the production. Really top notch stuff. Production’s tight as a twat!br
br
Lovely lushful sounds. All makes sense. Arrangement’s sound as well.br
br
Btw, all your own midi input? No samples used (except for the hihat, etc kinda loops)?

I never really listened to BP before but he has some really interesting twists in that tune, that dont sound too crazy, it really works, thanks! br
br
Cheers man! well i used the Improvisator to the get the melody first then changed a few things around. and built it from there with a lot of different sounds with similar midi. i did use 2 samples, the string section the uses a different melody coming in at 9 bars and for the rest of the track and the piano loop. i found these by searchin chilllout albums online and sampling off them!

Great job. It’s also an art to find the right samples.br
People tend to say its cheating, but there’s more behind it. br
br

True that, a hell of a lot of the biggest songs out there have samples in!

yeah there is so much contraversy in sampling, i think it shows your creativity to listen to something completley different and make it work in your track through editing and fx etc… there should definitley be more tutoirals on sampling because there are so many methods! br
br
thanks a lot for the feedback lads! free download of the track too if your interested

Really love the pad sound in this. For me the first few minutes of this would sit perfectly well as a breakbeat track, but after the 4 minute mark when the bass becomes more proggy sounding it really brings a different timbre to it. I can visualise a lot of directions with this so hope you finish it.
