Pryda!
Two months gone and still no August “How to sound like”. Is there going to be a September,October & November poll??? Whats happening!?
Hi guys - Great service, but we’re all eagerly awaiting the next HSTL. Do you guys have any idea when you’re going to provide the next tutorial?
yeah whats happening here ???
still waiting for the AUGUST HTSL …
also waiting hard for the promised Tribal House tutorial from Phil ! ??
when can we expect some fresh stuff ?? it should be done quickley plz !
The unique HTSL tuts were one of the main reasons I subscribed to SA. It’s fun and educative. Since the D&B tutorials, dated early september, it’s a bit quiet imho. Except some ADE interviews and tech tips ofc.
I know for sure u guys are busy, but can you (more often) provide the community some information about things happening behind this website? I think ppl want to know, including myself…
Greetz
hi guys,
the HTSL August poll was slotted for October / November release and was clearly stated in the ‘Release Schedule’ as requested by you guys, and has been available in the General Forum - Click here to see it
since the Drum and Bass Videos we have released a tech tip, a synthesis course in Reaktor, Producer Interviews from ADE and the first batch of videos for the HTSL electro house in cubase.
All in all clocking in at well over 3 hours of video content! with plenty more to be released in the next few weeks.
the Nu disco vid is currently being worked on and while the release date may slip into December this was down to the fact we are currently getting our website revamped!
Hopefully the above listed videos have kept you going in the meantime, and whilst they may not be to all of your tastes, take solace in the fact that the nu disco ones are not far off.
I love the tutorials on this site. I’ve only just joined and they’re already helping me!
I’d really like a hardtrance/hardstyle tutorial??? Pretty Please… Something along the lines of Kidd Kaos??
The HSTL tutorials is the main reason i joined Sonic Academy as well. In june i logged in to find out my yearly subscription was expired.
I emailed the guys over here to see if the purchase i made of $65 towards “how to dj with ableton” could be contributed towards a new yearly subscription becuase, when u get the yearly, you get a free vid anyways, but the guys didnt even respond to my email which was very dissapointing seeing that i spent a lot of money on this site and they wouldnt help me out.
I havent had a yearly subscription since then and i honestly can say its not too big of a deal becuase no new material has really come out. I think the way the system works is a bit sloppy. You pay for a year subscription but then they upload new vids every 4 months. Then by the time the genre of vid you waited for is finished, which for me is the nu disco, you have to buy a new subscription? GIVE ME A BREAK!!
tnismo88,
I think I know where you are coming from.
My subscription is coming up for renewal pretty soon but I won’t be taking out another years worth …However I can honestly say I’ve more than had my moneys worth out of the tutorials so it aint no big shakes but sadly there’s just not enough incentive anymore (at least not for me)
The gaps between relevant tutorials are becoming longer and longer especially now most tutorials are duped. To me it feels like this place is heading away from its roots but that’s just my opinion and one that isn’t necessarily shared by others.
I’ll miss the banter and regular posters here who have kept this site afloat when nothing else is really happening but Its still an open general forum so i’ll continue to contribute until that comes to an end.
If I could offer just one bit of parting advice to the SA team it would be don’t forget the main reason why ppl subscribed here in the first place.
At least make 1 new unique video tutorial a month regardless of platform and a weekly tech tip.
And listen to your users who bother participating in the online polls.
As for me well I am ashamed to say it but if I am patient any new vids will more than likely turn up elsewhere by which time my Karma will be tested to its limits. I doubt i’ll loose much sleep tho.
