Here is a new one I’ve been working on :w00t:
Windy City by Sneaky
Good work - kinda of trancey but has a nice laid back summer feel to it - maybe a little fx to spice it up a bit
Good use of the pads to create some atmos and ambiance… I think you can keep it interesting but by either adding some additional changes to the main lead at various points in the track or get some more sounds introduced at random points in the track, it’s good to keep peoples ears on edge and always wondering what’s coming up next, it’s something I’m TRYING to do more and more each track I make
nice work so far mate

Thanks for the ears and the tips, appreciate that
It’s def nearer the trancey end of tech.
Good melody and movement in the track but it’s lacking energy. It seems kinda flat. There’s not a lot of tension and release in there, which you do need in trance/tech.
FX will def help in that regard. Especially around the big change points of breaks and drops.
It’s a good underlying track and the composition works but it needs more energy.
i quite liked this, i prefare this kinda. ‘trancey’ stuff to the big cheese on top production thats popular today, i’d try to bring the hats out a bit more and add in little evolving percussions here and there to drive it along in parts, some rides, shakers etc, maybe having them start out with a sharp decay and and making the decay longer as you build up to certain sections in the track experiment with a bit of variety in there…
this is a clip of a track i didnt get very far with as my laptop crapped out on me but this kinda what i mean with regards to the percussion…
