heres my latest deep house jam, im quite pleased with the end product and would love to hear what the sonic academy community thinks.br
br
thanks guys!![]()
Nice one Ax.br
I did notice that sometimes the kick diminishes due to the bass attack of the synth. So some sidechaining and more EQ-ing could do wonders. Balancing out everything.br
At work now so i can’t listen - but i’ll have a listen when i get home and let you know what i think.
cool good, could do with a warmer sound, try running it through some tape or something
Hi Ax, here’s my feedback for you mate:br
br
- quite a good overall sound. but a few thoughts i had:br
br - hats at the start a little harsh soundingbr
br - percussion a bit flat - would prefer it if you panned the various sounds in the percussion loop - could use some reverb and processingbr
br - start got a little boring for me - not enough variety and excitementbr
br - chords not enough variety and movement, try filtering them up and down through out the trackbr
br - try using a auto filter on the loops, create variation and movementbr
br - in the break thought there was not enough happeningbr
br - not enough energy in the breakbr
br - arrangement could be improved, to get the control of the energy better and manage the tension and release more effectivelybr
br - not really a proper build up for the drop, try adding filters and FX’s, rolls etc to create excitement before the track drops.br
br
overall not a bad effort mate, just need to work on the arrangement and getting more excitement and variety in the track, and controlling the energy.
