Nice track mate I really like the perc and fx work, really good sound choice and has great progression! br
Btw what film is that sample from?? For the life of me I can’t remember!br
br
Stu
thanks brotha’! :Dbr
br
its from the first film of the series Meet the Parents with Ben Stiller and Robert Deniro (sp?)
i agree with xpa. the fx and the percussion is great. i like the idea of using a film dialog for the break! br
the only thing i dont quiet like is the sam short melody over the hole track. it becomes a bith repetative
^ def. agree with you about the repetitiveness (working on it as we speak)… after having a bunch of fresh ears listen to the track thats the biggest piece of feedback i have been receiving. br
br
thanks again guys
Yeah a fresh set of ears and a good break makes all the difference! Funny how quick you adjust to a song when its all you hear for a couple of hours
^most definitely xpa, couldnt agree morebr
- Thoughts the synth could so with a bit more movement. A bit flat and static. Also could do with a little more reverb and width to make it a little bigger in the mix. I think it needs EQing so it’s a bit higher in the mix and sitting above the other elements a bit more.br
br - The riser didn’t quite fit the track vibe 100%br
br - Just more automation and movement in the track generally. Gets a bit boring after a while.br
br - Some elements need to be a bit bigger. Try maybe pannning the drums and percussive elements wider, and some bigger and wider synths i think would help.br
br - Very nice pad, and i also really like the chord stabs. Sound perfect!br
br - i’m thinking maybe it needs a bit more bass?br
br
Overall very nice track mate.br
br
Can you let me know what you think of my track in return:br
br
br
br
Thanks mate.br
br
David.
Hey Ax, listened to this one as well, but it sounds to me there’s some key clashing going on.br
You have that LFO-ish pad, the stab, sax and bassline. It’s not working well together.br
Might wanna check them 4 together with a spectrum analyzer.
