I listened to this earlier this morning (as did the missus). She’s more into these bigger tunes than I am and thought it sounded like a good summer ‘anthem’ type. I liked the chord progression too but felt it was missing something (just a little something) as Phil pointed out.br

We both really didn’t like the vocal stab element though.
Thanks Phil thanks Jon! i appreciate the response, i wasn’t sure about the Vocal either but decided to keep it in, and with the chord progression being more defined, i completely agree and was wondering if it sounds like that because of over processing, to much compression or to little EQ or something??br

I do think the mix needs quite a lot of work though.br

If you struggle to get a really good mix, it might be worth considering sitting down with someone who is an expert mix engineer in order to finish the track.br

The reason i say this, is like Phil says - with a really good clean, loud and punchy mix, i think this could well be a ‘hit’!
It does sound really nice and I agree that with a nice and clean mix, It can work quite nice.
Appreciate the feedback guys…We are having a little bit of trouble mixing it but we’re putting in the hours! These stabs in the build-up/break are really driving me crazy…I listen to it and it seems like there is just a hissing that is killing my ears so I try to cut some of the higher frequencies and the sound loses a lot of its character; I’m not sure what to do :unsure:
