there you go!
it started out beeing more on the techno side of things but in the end i was more in the mood for softer, deeper sounds and that’s what i came up with:
hope you like it!
Got to do business by Schuck
any feedback welcome! the worst feedback is no feedback
cheers

Hey Max
Not my usual thing… however, it swings well. The chopped vocal is perhaps used a little too much for my taste.
And the open hat that plays intermittently at the end of each bar or two - it’s panned really hard right. Sounds ok when there’s a lot of perc going on but when the track’s a little more subdued and the open hat is more upfront on the mix, the hard right pan seems odd. It really sticks out. Have you tried panning it more centrally, still right maybe but so far hard right?
Hope that helps
thanks for the reply! funny thing about the hat… didn’t notice it till you mentioned it! oO
i guess when you listen to your stuff over and over again, sometimes you need a second pair of ears
the panning wasn’t intended, i’ll get rid of that tomorrow
about the vocals: in the beginning i really wanted to just use the chopped up parts but the next day it turned out like this. i guess they can get a bit annoying. i wanted to do a remix of this anyways, so maybe u gave me just the kick i needed
thanks again for the feedback! very much appreciated…
Nice work dude . . . The chord stabs and vox give it an old skool garage sound which I love! Very deep . . . I miss garage!!!
Defo agree about the panned hat but as you say, im’ sure you’ve sorted that out by now!
Nice track mate - do like this a lot
Very nice track mate
i’d mix it up a touch in the middle section maybe change the vocals to something else spice them up with some effects and stuff like that but all in all it sits really well
thanks for your replies guys! will be working on this over the next days, since i didn’t get the chance to by now. i’ll post the results once i’m done with it!
any other feedback/comments/remarks are welcome in the meantime
