Would love to hear some feedback on this, started working on it two days ago, was originally just trying to make my own bass stabs and then decided to make a synthed kick, the result is this track :P
Its my first proper try at techno, hope you all enjoy it! Feedback would be appreciated!
well, I put it on and started to potter around doing other stuff on the computer and then realised it was coming to an end. Which means, for me, that it’s a tight track that moves along at just the right pace. I never once felt that it was dragging sections out nor that it had too many abrupt changes. It flowed well from section to section. Good stuff.
Thanks, appreciate that comment a lot!
Always had problems with flow in the past, didnt wanna over do this one with impacts and what not, nice to know it works!
the overall sounding is quite cool for me. i’m not producing in this style, so maybe my reflection won’t make any sense, but i would try some melodic change at certain points of the track…
Ill be honest I was being very lazy wih this one, had ideas to add a little Tech Housey stab at some bits, or even better something along the lines of Oliver Huntermann’s Dark Passanger, has a cool melodic element which still sounds techno’ish!
Will definately take those pointers into consideration on my next track, thanks!
I liked it a lot, Its not a type of music I produce or particularly listen to but I listened to the whole track through so thats a good sign to me! Keep up the good work!
That bass has a really nice sound.
I think you should see it through and add the other elements you were thinking about.
Good work.
Can’t find anything wrong with the track. Might not be a peak time techno track, but it’s a great sounding production. Was headnodding while working
Nice! Very deep and suspenseful. I really like the combination of the distorted bass and the echoing panning hits in the back. Kinda makes me feel in a cave deep below the earth haha.
Thanks everyone for the compliments, never thought anyone would actually like it lol
@smithee:
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it!
@jbachr:
Would definately do that when I get the time. Uni’s a pain really and sucks up most my time…
@daniaan:
Thanks, heard your Point Blank remix, definately wowed me!
@Masseve:
Hehe, never thought it would bring a cavern feeling. Glad you enjoyed it!
You’re a student too?
What are you going for?
Myself, I’m going for elecctrical engineering.
Currently loving Physics 2 since we are working with soundwaves and my experience with music is making me look like a genius in class. LOL
hmm i cant see the link for some reason :S or the player thingie
Nice track! Great texture and soundscape / atmosphere. Couple of thoughts:
- I would have LOVED to have the filter on that bass open up. Maybe feed it into a huge reverb / delay at the same time. Make it a big breakdown.
- Second half of track loses me. Wanted more forward motion – where’s the DROP? The song is just begging for something monstrous to happen about 2/3rds through.
Best way i can say it is the production / mastering is superb, but the arrangement just feels a little unfinished.
@jbach:
Study pharmacy so nothing is related to music Am really jealous at Uni, everyone gets time to do what they want except pharmacy students, we are pretty much the only peeps at the Library

If I ever get around to working on this track again I will definately take that into consideration, honestly didnt have time to work on the build ups and drops
