hi guys!
Decided to split this into another group from our “How To Sound Like…” tutorials called “That Sound…”
These tutorials are going to be short dedicated tutorials showing you how to create synths and sounds from your favourite tracks, along with the packaged sound patches so you can just pop it straight into your vst!
The first video shows you how to create the synth sound from the Crookers remix of ‘Trash’ by The Whip.
Subscribers can access it from the “Subscriber Videos” section top left!
So let me know what you think of the first video and throw your ideas for this section my direction and ill get to work!

thats ace mate. now all i need to do is spend the afternoon playing with different settings and coming up with my own take on it. been struggling with that sorta thing for ages and now you’ve explained it, it seems so obvious
top stuff
I’d like to take a moment to say that it looks like we have a winner! I’m wiping the slate clean with my attitude against SA in the recent and giving the new guy a shot. Seems like you’ve caught on to our lust for info and tuts, and realize that the tutorials don’t always have to be killer long productions. Thanks for this refreshing approach!!
Humbled,
Raymond
This is exactly what I have been looking for. Thanks for the great Tutorial.
That was good,thanks
How about a tutorial to address the trance sounds made by a few of the Armada Music labels, such as Coldharbor or maybe another label such Ajunabeats.
Or how about a tutorial on how Cosmic Gate produces and remixes their tunes.
So many ideas, so little time.

Hotel Splendido, well done chap, will go watch right now I think
thanks guys, glad you all enjoyed it, im currently doing a run through of my Kansas city shuffle track which i will try my best to get it recorded and online in the next day or 2.
then im going to do a “That sound…” on Twocker / Stupid Fresh.
right after i’m open to suggestions, i will probably put a poll online to gauge what you guys want the most from the selection ive gathered up!

Bryan would you be open to all sounds?
are their some sounds you would rather not have to create?
are there any kinds of synthesis you are not comfortable with?
u name the sound and ill make it
The Stabby lead that kicks in around 1:05
RANDY KATANA- FAIXA - YouTube
and if possible the percussion that kicks back in around 4:20 i’ve worked out the patterns but can’t seem to get that phat low groove rolling, i’ve tried layering a sub under a tom drum and using short decays but never seems anywhere near close.
this one the best part to find the sound in isolation is 2:25 love this sound but not been able to pull it off even with help of some guys on the board
- YouTube
and with this track the bleep sound that creeps in the background and builds through the break 0:55 and the also the main bass sound
FDV6 the Music-Video - YouTube
last but not least the lead sound from Traffic
- YouTube
Fantastic tutorial!
All i need now is Sylenth
I’m hoping i’ll be able to do something similar with Massive, im sure i can! Will have a play when i get home.
