I was wondering if someone could help or advise me please - I trying to create a deep rolling bassline for a track I am working on. Ideally the bassline would sit in the background but would give that driving rolling feel if that makes sense. I have a varety of synths such as Sylenth, Minimoog, Minimonsta and NI FM8 so I am sure I have the tools to create but just don’t know how to in terms of settings etc. Again ideally I would be looking to have a pattern along the C1 key and not too fussy.
Secondly I have a acapella which I would like to add to my track but what is the best way to fit it to my track. Even though I will only use snippets at first, eventually the versess and chorus will have to come in.
I use Ableton Live 7 as my production DAW so I any advice/tips/help would be greatly appreciated.
you may want to check out the Mark knight tutorial, the bass line in the tutorial can be easily adjusted to sit as a rolling bass (both pattern and sound) picking the right kick to sit with the bassline is always harder with this sort of style imo as you will want them to sound deep and tight and not muddy and flabby (if that makes sense:))
as for the vocals you’ll sure someone else will answer that for you, i really have no idea about vocals as i never work with them lol

You should really find out the key of your accapella before deciding which key you want your bass in. Try shelving a lot of the top end of the bass to give a very subby bass with not a lot of mids
