New track for feed back

Hi guys, was wondering if you could give me some feed back on my new track, Unfortunately I can use my studio monitors due to my neighbors complaining so i cant get a good listen to the over all mix.
If i don’t here from you in the mean time you all have a fab Christmas and a happy new year.

Sorry for the delayed reply.

The Mix itself sounds good to me, so good work on this.

Arrangement and song structure works well too.

Nice groove and drums and cool transitions as well.

Good work on those parts for sure, but to be honest didn’t find the track catchy because of the simple and repetitive melodic elements and some synths sounds choices, sounds a bit cheesy to me.

It’s more a listening taste and preference thing of course, but think it’s important, suggestion would be to have friends listening to the track and ask them the same : is it grabbing their attention, is it something they would listen with ease & pleasure or not. I think it’s the next level to worry about once you’ve nailed down the technical part of a mix

Hope that helps !

Brilliant!, now I have a bench mark for mix and arrangement, I can now focus on my sound design, This is something i can now work with and progress for next year, So thank you Tekalight this has helped me more than you know. :ok_hand:
I wish you and all the Sonic Academy team a Merry Christmas & Happy New Year,

Thanks for your reply, happy to hear that you found the feedback useful :+1:

Yeah, working on finding catching chords progressions and melodies that grab listeners attention as well as sound design is definitely something that can take time but worth doing, and don’t forget to put your friends to the listening tests.

Wishing you a Merry Christmas & Happy New Year as well and looking forward to listen to new tracks in 2025 ! :christmas_tree: :sparkles:
