I like the main layout and the elements, but I think it needs some work to the mix and sound placement. It seems really muddy, Id try harsher sidechaining on the synths, cutting some of the mid frequencies and exciting the top end a wee bit.br

This genre really needs a heavy kick and a lot of movement around it!

Yeah a little, you could compress and overdrive it a bit to bring it out. And sidechain it quite hard…
