New Track - Tech-House - Opinions?

Hi guys,

Finished this track a month or so ago, but it just got released last week. Would love some feedback as always!

I’ve gone for an all together deeper sound here, with a high-cut filter being my friend, maybe a little too much? Hah. I’m trying (unsuccessfully) to deepen my sounds, subtracting a lot  from my original drafts, as I’m trying to make more deep, groovey minimal house, but my productions often come out sounding a tad too heavy/confused and still lacking something - maybe something I’ll learn in time! I can see why labels like Moonharbour and Green’s producers have serious production years under their belt. It’s not easy doing the whole “less is more” approach! :frowning:

Defo not one of my finest productions, as I ended up (shame on me!) nicking a few loops from a sample pack and customizing them heavily to fit in with the track to give it an added layer when I got stuck on it - unfortunately I’m still very daunted at trying to create new sounds on a synth that will fit in with a current project. More synthesis practice for me!

Having said that, I am happy with what I did with the original parts. I totally cut up the original acid-ish bassline, and used a filter on it to bring it down to a rumbly sub bass, more acceptable for that deep tech-house sound, opening the filter now and again as a little nod to the original track.

For the stabs I actually just threw parts of the original pack into Simpler and reduced the loop down until I got a nice sound, then using the DH tut as a guideline I made textures from big reverbs and pp delays. Same with the vocals.

Anyways, you can listen to the original in the track if you follow the link in the soundcloud description!

As always, feedback of ANY sort is welcomed. And if anyone wants a promo I’m sure I could arrange it, just PM me.
