Hey guys I spent some time in the last month and made up another track. I challenged myself to write this in 5 days to help me streamline my decision making. The track feels a bit simple, but overall Im hugely liking the result. br
br
Id love some feedback if you guys have the time :)br
br
Enjoy!br

Hey Spectral, great track!br
br
I found the overall structure interesting and it kept me in the tune the whole way through, especially enjoyed the way you worked in the “vocal” snippets.br
br
I loved the percussion in the intro (and again at 4:55). Very nice width to it. However, (just my opinion) the far L/R woodblock-ish hits might be just a tiny bit more forward in the mix… ?br
The plucks/percussives at 3:00 sound really nice and added a great feel IMHO.br
br
The second buildup/riser (3:40-3:56) struck me as being a touch too long. compared to the first, it seemed to lose a bit of momentum, again, just my initial reaction/opinion.br
br
Well Done! I’m looking forward to your next track.br
br
Hey yo man, br
br
things are sounding pretty clean in the mixing department, some subjective feedback: br
br
you have a mini-build up which then drops at 1:58, the buildup is OK however once everything hits again the energy is lost, your main portamento sound is the headliner however the bass sounds slightly flat, which I think is contributing to the loss of energy, I’d push the main synth -1 or 1.5db back. Also try adding some reverb to the main synth, even if you’re only adding 20% wet with a small amount of decay it will make a difference. br
br
I would also send some of that synth to a delay to add some space and texture, it’s a bit dry leaving the mix sounding a little empty. br
br
The vocals could definitely do with some treatment, delay and reverb for sure, and a cool phaser effect or chorus to make it sound more interesting. reference tracks from someone like Jaytech to hear what he does with his vocals. br
br
Good luck man. br

Hey up dude, cool sounding track and I agree with what the others are saying. The only thing I can add to it is that I feel the kick is lacking presence. It might just be cause the sample you have uploaded is quiet, but I’m finding the main elements like the synth etc taking over the kick so for me it’s losing its energy. br
br
I’ve been playing about with some kicks over the top of the track and I think something with more mid-range and a tight bottom-end would sound great!br
br
I really liked the arrangement tho, it kept me hooked till the end
