Not cute. just solidarity, brother
Hopefully someday you’ll be invited to join a Gang Howie! ;):P:hehe:
I’m good bro. Maybe one day you can get with my crew! :D:P;):w00t:
In all fairness, I love me some techno, just not to make. I love a bit more of a challenge.

i actually find techno more of a challange than house etc. Theres a lot of restraint in it and you have to be more creative with the genre restrictions and its pure essence.
Its like you have to get it sooo right at the micro level with sounds and grooves to carry the track… And getting the builds right and unique defo requires a lot of thought.

Could not agree more Phil
I just find it a little more… er… drummy? I find it more challenging to make a good hook with house, etc. With techno, I can make a cool noise and implement it into my track. With house, you have to make cool sounds and then have them fit in more of a melodic way. I dunno…just an opinion.
I love everybody

i think exactly the same about house, when i started out everything sounded housey and not like techno
I agree with Howie, surely its harder to make a track that takes you on an emotional rollercoaster than it is to make a 7 minute track of a kick drum with random electronic noises and unmusical out of key squeels and bleeps?

thats my thinking too. however, dont get me wrong, I love me some hard detroit techno.

Youre so emotional!
Honestly, I don’t really watch the tutorials that much anymore. I just really like to help others on the site out and teach a little bit. It is interesting to see the workflow that Phil has sometimes. But other then that, since my listening skills have developed, I can make many of the types of music that they have tutorials for.
Really enjoy the new take on the tutorials. I definitely was interested on a more in depth take on synthesis. I’m still a noob in that chapter and i don’t want to use samples
