NI Reaktor

I think I have fallen in love - anyone else use it here

No it scares me! Tell me more though … why is it so deserving of love!?

Yup.

Have to say… HATE the synths.

Some of them have a really horrible delays and others seem to have a modulation on everything. Doesnt matter what you turn off, its hard work (I find) to enjoy what I’m hearing. I dont like the sound of them. Very thin and electronic. Dont pretend to know a lot about synthesis - so I’m just giving an personal preference here.

That OKI computer one is nuts though.

The Grainy FX and Drum machines… mental things… are great. You can use Reaktor as an insert - Reaktor FX - if you didnt know.

I love it, use it on everything, love the synths, the sound manglers, drum tools, effects, processors the lot, been using it since version 1.

Mark

did you tried Razor ?

Yes, love it although want to learn more about it…

Anyone got links to some good tutorials? And how do you insert it as an FX?

ICN your a peasant

I have only had it since the weekend since I usually sample and layer my synth to get rich sounds the thinness is not an issue

Been just jaming with it over 16 bar loops - sampling it then putting it through an fx chain - sounds are mental

[quote]MOZZATRON (18/08/2011)[hr] And how do you insert it as an FX?

I have Reaktor and I really like it, although I find the feeling that I am not getting as much out of it as I should really annoying.

To use as an effect you need to use the Reaktor5 FX vst then select an effect in Reaktor.

Have it. Love it. But definitely afraid of it.

hell yeah! that **** is bezeeeerk!

Those 2 get a little more in check if you map a few controls to them & fk about.

Yeah as I said only skimmed the surface what those two can actually do

Are you mad ICN? Junatik is fat? sounds to me as good as my mates juno 106

good vids on macprovid (did someone mention this ? sorry if did ) !

Reaktor is fantastic. I definitely intend to find out more about it once I have it again. I’ve sold my license to raise funds for a crossgrade to Komplete 8 and can’t wait to have it again. For anyone wanting to learn more about it there is a fantastic (and very cheap - $10 at the moment!) video at the link below…

Hope you find it of use.

EDIT - Oh, and of course Sonic Academy have their own ‘How to build a synth in Reaktor’ video series.
