Nothing happen in here for a long time?

I think is very sad people coming here to check new infos new projects and just see interviews and repeated projects and videos in different plataforms, its a shame, i think a lack of respect for those who come here to learn, more than 40 days without nothing new or nothing really important .

And now u guys searching for new content creators ???

Why do not invite, only pro producers like the ones who are in the charts ?

I think we deserve.

THANKS

i agree its been a while

in the last 40 days we have released

Tech Tip on Rewiring Ableton into cubase

Synthesis Course on Reaktor 5

Interviews from ADE

How to sound like electro house in Cubase 5

spanning a total of over 6 hours worth of content!

just because something hasn’t been covered in ableton live doesn’t justify the need to say that nothing new has been released. as you can see there has been plenty

there are people out there that want to learn reaktor, and cubase 5. and now they can!

to be fair though Bry i have to agree with the guy, for those not interested in the reaktor tutorial or interviews the last 40 days have been very weak

I would like to chime in.

A) One tech tip is great. Right on schedule on the tech tip.

B) No one requested reaktor tutorials. Don’t get me wrong. I love em. They give me a greater sense of signal path of synthesizers and the like. But in the end, people are here to learn about song/genre creation. Maybe a tech tip about synthesis would have been better, or even a series of tech tips on synthesis. Perhaps an ongoing series.

C) Interviews should be extra perk, not a replacement for the tutorials that we pay for. Thats why I buy Computer Music magazine and Playboy… For the interviews and articles

It would have been great for the interviews as extras, but to span them for two weeks and no tutorials and insight kinda sucks guys. Weak.

D) Lastly, when you do get a chance to do another tutorial, its the EXACT SAME tutorial, just in a different DAW. Why didn’t you do the disco house tutorial in Cubase if you really wanted to show another DAW. Anyone should be able to cross them up and use them in whatever DAW they currently use. If they can not, you should tell them to watch the video on beginning Ableton and beginning Cubase and say apply the two together. Thats it.

I have to say I think the OP made a pretty unfair call with his shot at the argument here. I’m sure everyone would love more content released more frequently, but to say essentially “OMG you’re all not doing anything because you’ve not uploaded anything i’m personally interested in!” Is a bit… well, weak.

I would agree with the general sentiment here i mean the interviews could hardly be considered as a decent alternative to the(lack of)tutorials and now spending weeks giving basically the same tutorial again in cubase dosen’t seem to meet the needs of most people on the site,i could understand if you wanted to port the tutorial over so the cubase users had something specific, but for everyone else its been a pretty poor time here recently

I think it was better when the focus of tutorials was on Ableton Live.

Things were really being cranked out then.

A tech tip a week would help resolve some of the boredom between the delays.

Sorry to chime in and agree but, well, I’m afraid I agree. Unless things pick up I’m seriously thinking about renewing my subscription fee again next year. I mainly come here for the forum now, which is free!

I hate writing this as I love SA.

The reaktor tutorials have been very popular! As were the ade interviews and the cubase vids !

For those of you who are waiting for ableton tutorials - I’m currently workig on the nu disco one .

regarding the cubase remake of electro house . If u take the time to watch it you will find that a lot of it is explaining how to use cubase 5. So great for anyone wanting to learn it .

We can only physically make a limited amount of video.! And we have to split that between our htsl course and new courses .

We have new content creators coming on board soon . Along with a new website !

long story short . Nu disco is Being worked on . In ableton !

Bry,

Sorry, edit this comment - as I didn’t read your post properly in regard to the question I asked.

Can you hint as to what the content creators are going to put forward tutorial-wise?

(Go on…tell) ;):stuck_out_tongue:

I can understand the duped Cubase electro house tut. Its a good solid cubase tutorial in its own right but the Reaktor tutorials although very good only seem to cater for a very small minority.

The ADE interviews were a little indulgent. Coming at the expense of many tutorials I am sure.

All we are trying to do is have a little say in how are subscription is spent you cant blame us for that.

i think canceling your subscription is a bit extreme as there is a lot of content still for the money you are paying.

sorry then bry i didn’t know that the electro house one was also a cubase (learning) tutorial. Its great news that you now have new content creators and the new website i think we will all like.

I hope you do more stuff like the ADE, infact PLEASE can you send someone over to miami winter music conference 2010.

I know flights / accom could be pretty pricey, but the ADE stuff you did was awesome.

I’d also like to see videos from other confrences like from specialised music related hardware / software confrences etc.

hello guys

it’s always a balancing act to try to get content right - we have to try to keep beginners, intermediate and advanced users of cubase, reason, logic, ableton (and soon pro tools) happy

the response to the reaktor tutorials (requested by lots of people on the site) has been great and the response to the ade stuff very positive too

we have lots of very exciting developments planned - new website early in 2010 (some of the users on the site have helped us out with this and have seen previews) and have lots more content on a regular basis planned for 2010, so keep an eye out and please bear with us whilst we put everything in place for this to happen.

we simply can’t keep everyone happy all the time but we try our best!

sonic academy is still the best value of any music technology training site out there - if you fancy one (yes ONE!) ableton course for £149 or $1000 dollars there are sites that do that, but we think we offer excellent value for money

kev

Yes - I think I was probably a bit hasty with the old subscription renewal comment up there. It’s good to hear of all the things being planned. 2010 looks to be an interesting year…!

By the way, is there anywhere on the site that tells you when you’re subscription will need renewing? I can’t think when I started mine now…

Blimey, not another thread like this.

To the SA guys - if you were knocking out the tutorials at 1 a day people would still complain.

I say - keep up the damned good work, I for one am satisfied!

</ suckup>

loving the cubase tut well done s.a. think there should be more cubase tuts as i feel there is enough ableton vids on here for the moment
