I had to put this in the back seat for a short while as I worked on other projects and actually wanted to get this right, but i’m really happy with it now and thought i’d share with you all
Theez Kidz (Original Mix) - FINISHED by DJRoben
i like it, rly groovy and chilled. as a starter, do you find yourself a manager to handle your bookings or do you handle your own bookings
Thanks
When it comes to bookings I handle my own because i’m not at that level where I need to pay anyone to do that for me, if I was at a level like Chris Lake or someone with bookings coming out of my a*se all over the world, then I’d need a management company to handle all that for me.
I’d only sign to a recognised management agency anyways who already have good artists on their roster.
Far to happy and uplifting wheres the misery
No it sounds really good for what it is - cool work matey
very nice production there mate, I like

how many booking requests have you handled so far? j/w im new to all of this. dont have any dj equipment yet but i hopefully i will sometime soon by the end of this year. oh and thanks for the tip. i thought i would just find a random manager or something. that makes good sense towards finding someone with a good roster
Roben,
As per usual its a thumbs up from me. Really good tune nice and groovy. Think the voal works really well with it. This to me is a similar style to the funky house that was popular 4 years or so ago. Nice change in direction from your normal tunes. Have you played it out yet - What was the reaction? It would defo get me on the floor as i used to love all that funky filtered disco type stuff. Speaking of which i liked the little disco type stabs in there. Keep it up fella
sounds wicked… the only thing that stood out for as being a bit off was how long the break is quiet with nothing going on for the first 8 bars or so… you could easily shorten it with out loosing anything
Really feeling this mate. Loving the percussion rolls aswell they really bring another level to it
smashing track
Lovely little production dude!
Very well polished track. The vox sits in so well and you’ve chopped and modded it into a cool groove.
Wow!
Didn’t get hardly any thoughts on this for days, then I come back today checked this and have loads!
Thanks for checking it out and commenting! Really pleased you’re all liking the groove, I need to start sending it out really, being a bit slack lol.
Your comments have made my day, thanks.
mejaques_uk@hotmail.com - Yeah buddy I played it at new years eve, I didn’t get the same kinda reaction as when I played ‘Road To Brighton’ that time before in a club of 600+, but it was a function one soundsystem again and I did have a good reaction in that everyone was up dancing and going for it and looked to be enjoying it, that was before I modded and updated it too so that was quite interesting.
I’m quite lucky i get the chance to ‘road test’ my tunes but to be fair, a lot of the time i get a bit shy about playing my own, mostly because i’m still not that confident in my own stuff and definitely don’t they’re as good as the tracks i’m supporting in my box at that current time lol.
Is how it is I guess.
Phil - Thanks dude, I may actually try that out. I quite liked the silence space as sometimes that can help bring a certain ‘mood’, but i did feel my break was a little too long, i’ll have a play around and see if it works for me, thanks
