hey guys just wondering if anyone here really uses parallel compression and what you guys use it on. Be great to here what you guys think are the pros and cons, I am currently trying to work out whether or not to use it, wondering if producers like hardwell and avicii would be using this kind of compression on there tracks or whether normal compression will get the job done.
I use it a lot. I do some paralell processing on the drums in the dutch house tut.
ok thanks phil I will check out the video, do you mainly just use it on your drums or do you use it on things like your basslines as well?
Mainly on drums… its really usefull when you want to add weight to something with compression but want to retain some dynamics in the attack of the sound.
can be used on anything really.
