Was just wondering if there is any tutorials for perfoming live with Ableton?
I dont mean DJing, just wanted to know what is the best way to go about keeping the CPU down, The last thing we need is a crash or mangled stuttering!!

Don’t think i’ve seen any tuts anywhere on performance, but it’s really about loading up bits, APC40 should help you activate Ableton scenes, then a midi keyboard for synth playing and a hardware sampler for busting out cool camples on the fly.
Something along those lines i’d imagine, to be honest LIVE performance is a route I want to go down now, just haven’t got around to it yet lol.
i think it would be quite hard to do a specific tutorial on live performance using ableton as everyone uses it a differnet way which suits there own needs with ableton been a all round program it would be hard to do a tut that would suit everyone …
Hey man, what I have found is that when you are performing with Live, the instruments that come with Live are going to be your most stable ones that you can use. The plugs that usually are the culprits that cause crashing are VST’s or AU plugs. However, IMO, you don’t really need to run anything other then Live and the internal plugs that it came with. At least not for performing live. I only use external plugs for sound creation and mangling. Now with M4L, the possibilities are even greater.
