Pluck vs lead

hi all,

can someone please tell me the difference between Pluck sounds and lead sounds?

when is each used ? seperately or together? purpose of each? in a trance/progressive tunes…

and finally, what are the components of each (single notes, or entire chord notes)?

both can be either single note or chord, pluck sounds can be used as a lead (any sound can be) doesn’t really matter when you use the sounds either its up to you really.



pluck sounds can be created using and lead type sound and closing the filter, apply some envelope modulation to the filter open the decay of the envelope until you get that plucking sound when the key is pressed.

There is no rule. Use them both, use just one, use none of them. Its up to you.
