Can we get some pro tools tutorials?
There are some many people that went to school for pro tools and own pro tools I know a lot personally and you will get a lot more members by doing this.
Some advanced techniques, arrangement, like vocals, mastering, work flow, at least one house or breaks tutorial, tech tips would be awesome, something, there’s so much in this DAW :D:D:D:D:D:D
I studied college and uni on Pro Tools HD and Reason, many people i know still use the Os9 and Windows 98 Free version (no longer available) and can understand that if you know it you would stick to it but i can’t for the life of me understand why people would want to learn on it these days. Sure it’s great with audio and many people would have agreed that 2 years ago nothing would have touched it but with the recent upgrades to ableton, cubase and logic surely they make for the better options to learn on and produce dance music.
I would say that pro-tools HD sucked with midi but they have that upto scratch now and it’s easily on par with cubase, logic and ableton but HD is extremely expensive and probably out of reach for most budding house producers.
If you’re talking about pro-tools M-powered or LE then i don’t really know much about other than my friends telling me it’s no comparison to the HD system.
Man I wish I could pay for Protools, al I got now is an AMD1800 with only 2gig ram and a Terratec Phase22:crying:
Here’s my logic on this, I live in Atlanta and around here 80 - 90% of studios use pro tools . So might as well learn pro tools in case I ever try to get into the business or doing some work for some big artist and\or make some money doing remixes. I dont know if ableton will get me anywhere in a professional world around here. From watching proffesionals working on 5 tracks a day using pro tools I dont see how its any worse than any other daw and yes i see people doing a lot of house trance remixes on it as well.
sure!! I’m not saying people don’t or shouldn’t use it for house or trance just didn’t understand why anyone would want to but as you’ve answered that 80-90% of studios in your surrounding area use it i understand your logic now.
hope you get your tutorial but while you’re waiting Hit up youtube and Google video there are hundreds of tutorials to get stuck into.
I think that if you know PRO TOOLS , Cubase and Logic will be the easiest DAWs to move on . and even do i heard good things about REAPER.
have u Tried REAPER?. if you want are new learning how to sequence music i shoul recommend to change of DAW since PRO TOOLS is a litle harder to work with MIDI and plug ins .
