I’ve tried isolating the tech tips in Audicity for trying isolating a kick. But the result doesnt sound quite right.

What am I doing wrong?
I cant hear, but you will have to find a kick that has the least going on. the beginning or end is ideal for this. Long 909 kicks are not good, because other sounds will interfere with the sample. Punchy kicks are the best. Run a low pass filter to get any hats, snares, or any other percussion that is playing with the kick. Viola!
