edit: ive since fixed this issue, the problem is that the video shows default live settings in the midi track of GROOVE16 quantizing on the track - i turned this off and it worked fine…looking back in the video it also has GROOVE16 enabled so I dont know how that is? perhaps its effects are disabled elsewhere so the option there has no effect - but when i open live and import the prodigy MIDI BASS file it has GROOVE16 enabled

ive been following the vid tutorial of “how to sound like the prodigy” on the bass section it didnt sound right - after hours of double checking and looking about ive noticed that the midi notes delay in playback every 3rd or 2nd note? and this fast bass with volume and filter cut-off triggered by velocity just doesnt sound anywhere near the tutorial - i stretched out the midi track so the notes where large and slowed it down to 20bpm and played it - i noticed that every 3rd note was played late which created this “galloping” sort of sound - i restarted Live and created new set with just sylenth and inserted my own midi with similar time signature and it played the notes immediatley after the previous - so it seems theres something not right with the midi?
can anyone tell me why this is? or possibly help me?
its not audio driver delay thats for sure - it does it when its a 20bpm single sound, it does it on ASIO and DX
here is a MP3 sample of the sounds im hearing for anyone familiar with the prodigy tut.
