This track is finished apart from mastering, I’m well into the whole 80’s synth pop but you should be able to guess where or should I say who the rest of my inspiration came from
Check it out, feedback more than welcome…

I’m re-uploading another version with the Bass volume lowered, only just heard it on a pair of speakers and it was ripping…
Sorry guys :w00t:

Thanks man, my laptop gave me a hard time at the end but I got it finished…
nice track
cool man, thanks for checking it out…
really enjoyed this track mate, some great sounding synths and nice melodies, bass = pure progressive :w00t: loving the toms for the fills!
good job
liking it well done
coool track I really like progressive sounds and this one truly has quality
I must still be high man, replied to the wrong track
Thanks guys, this track was a bit of a challenge and I had to put a lot into it, but I don’t need to say the payoff is well worth the elbow grease you put into a production
Now I need to dig into the realm of getting someone to master it!.. drama
that was amazing, what snare did you use? how can i find something similar?
It has something of a “woosh” effect in it right? its like wooooshSCHMMAAAK!!
what kind of bass is that? it was so groovy ! does it have delay effects on it? what is it that makes it so good… thanks in advance! /love donkey
Hey man,
Thanks for the feedback glad you enjoyed it, the snare was actually 3 layered together and the final one (the swoosh) was from a random sample pack (sorry but I have no idea where!) One was a really phat bottom heavy snare and the other 2 were middle/high which covers the whole spectrum and makes it very prominent in the mix. I have had many people ask me about the bass:
I started with the basics to get something close using sylenth1 synth, here are the settings I began with:
Reasonably simple to make though…
3 x OSC’s
OSC 1 = SAW -12
OSC 2 = SAW -11.90 (-12 but detuned +10 cents)
OSC 3 = SAW =0.10 (flat but detuned -10 cents)
AMP ENV
A = 0
D = 75
S = 100
R = 25
FILTER = LOWPASS
CUTOFF = 0 (all the way down) and maybe a touch of resonance if you want.
FILTER ENV
A = 10
D = 40 (or to taste)
S = 0
R = 100
Send amount = 100 (or a little less if you think its too bright)
Unison (4 voices min) and maybe a touch of chorus, and you should be there.
It won’t matter which synth you use as this can be done on practically any! Once I’d got the main patch above I duplicated it twice did a low cut to remove the bottom end and then panned one to the left and the other to the right, this gave it a more stereo sounding bass feel. Then I resampled my main bass but 1octave lower to give it the grit and subby-ness. It was all in all a big sounding bass used as more of a hook that I used multiple patchs of the same sound at lower/higher octaves and spread left and right. I have used this sound on another one of my tracks and it really pushes out the groove…
I hope this helps ;]
