Question for phil

hey Phil,

I have seen quite a few producers panning different parts of there leads like different osc to each side to get a wider sound, I have also seen a video on a producer that duplicates there lead twice and then pans one about 20L and one 20R I can definitely here the difference in the width of the sound seems like a good idea, my question is I have watched the mixing videos and have seen you use the utility to center your lead, so im just wondering what you would do with the utility on the Panned Synths.

thanks for any help

Its really just a preference thing and how much stuff you have going on.

If you have a main sound that is your lead and not much else you can have it as big and wide as you want.

ok thanks phil, so on the panned parts would you just not use the utility on those parts when mixing down
