in the sylenth, you mentioned what happens with the filter freq envelope.you mention the filter opening up n then down again. but i am a bit confused with it.
say you got the filter set to 50 %, and on your filter frequ envelope your decay is set to 50% ( attack n relaesas to 0,). what happens?
attack is 0, it means the filter stays open at the level it was set , that is 50 %.
when hitting the decay stage, the filter will go dont to 25%.
release 0, means the filter stays open at its 50 %.
i think i get confused wiith the graph that filetr envelop shows. when attack is all the way down, my head tells me the filter is closed, but it is in fact that it is untouched.
when the attack is all the way up i, in my head i think it is all the way open.

its all relative to your filter envelope amount…
but the attack when its at 0 takes no time for it to get to its open state then it takes an amount of (decay) time to get the sustain level which if 0 will be back where it started.
if your attack is at 50% it will take an amount of time to get to the open state giving you the womp sound.
adjusting the filter envelope amount increases how much the filter will be open up.
